The L&M cigarettes brand was created by Liggett & Myers and is the official brand of Philip Morris International.
The L&M cigarettes brand occupies one of the leading positions. Traditionally, the L&M cigarettes brand is represented by six flavors of cigarettes: Filter, Lights, Super Lights, Ultra Lights, Menthol, Cran Grape, Strawberry.
In 2007, L&M cigarettes underwent major changes: a new tobacco blend was created and a new triple filter was developed. In addition, the packaging design has changed.
L&M cigarettes are one of the first brands, maybe even the very first, to have a filter that is not one-sided. When the brand was launched, their motto was “High Quality American Cigarettes with the Best Filter”. The brand is very popular in Latin America, central and northern Europe, among the Arab world, the Far East and South Asia. It was not very widespread in the Americas until a new launch, made available in October 2007.
During the press conference, it was reported that L&M cigarettes took third place in the world in terms of quantities sold. Also, L&M cigarettes got the second place among the brands produced by Philip Morris. Due to new regulations that prohibit the use of the word light in Europe, many cigarette brands using it are forced to change it, L&M Light becomes L&M Blue Label.
L&M cigarettes became the icon of the tobacco giant, Philip Morris International. Released in 1953 by Liggett & Myers under the authority of Philip Morris International. “L&M” was one of the earliest, probably the earliest brands to have a filter that didn’t have a one -sided filter. L & M was launched in 1953 with the motto: “American cigarettes of the highest quality with the best filter”. Once their success in the U.S. market was established, Liggett Group made a proposal to take on international “L&M”. The brand is popular in Latin America, Central Europe and Northern Europe, the Middle East, East Asia and South Asia. They were not so common in the United States until a new list came out that made them promoted since October 2007.
